Have you ever noticed, overheard or perceived that someone around you is having some challenges in life and yet the person has refused to speak up? What should we do as Mrs. Pastor? Is it appropriate to approach the person/family or just watch from a distance - while praying for the individual(s) concerned?
How can you demonstrate that you care for the individual(s) and are available to listen and share their burden(s) - whether or not you can do something about it directly - without carrying a sign that says as much?
I've personally found that it's a tough spot to be in especially when you know their is help available - and all they need to do is ask. It is really challenging because sometimes you can easily offend or put off the individual(s) if you give him/her/them a "gift" to completely address or even just to alleviate the issue.
You know what I do? Rather than be "all ears", I try to be "all heart and all knees" knowing that committing the situation (I may not be 100% sure about, but feel exists) into God's hands is the best place to leave it. It's definitely a great thing to know (and possibly feel) that someone is praying for you rather than prying into your affairs. I believe we are held in higher esteem when we pray rather than pry.
Let's be and remain praying women - not prying women- let's be all ears to God.
