Church-o-spital...

All churches are expected to be caring places - that is God's expectation of yours. If your church is only about the righteous then it has missed it's mission...

Mark 2: 16-17 explains it: But when the teachers of religious law who were Pharisees saw him eating with tax collectors and other sinners, they asked his disciples, “Why does he eat with such scum? When Jesus heard this, he told them, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do. I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.”*

When I thought about this, I wondered if anyone else felt the same way as I did.
I cannot agree more with Mark Wilson that our churches must be "a place to form healthy Monday-Friday relationships, not just Sunday relationships."** That is exactly what my husband and I keep saying in our church over and over - every core member of your church must be part of the "Care team"...

Like hospitals, people should feel free to come just as they are and "leave," or shall I say live, better than they came. If your chrh is not caring enough or at all,  it's possibly because "U" are not doing your part and that's also my challenge to members who comment/complain that their church is not doing enough.

Eph 4:16 - The whole body depends on Christ, and all the parts of the body are joined and held together. Each part does its own work to make the whole body grow and be strong with love.*** If every part i.e. U and I, supplies as it should, there will be no lack and much love in our church-o-spitals.

As Mrs. Pastor, it is up to each of us to do our part to encourage everyone in our church to "step up" and do their part. Everyone in our church is important... everyone not in any church yet is even more important. Let's do our part to make the unrighteous welcome as we help them become part of our church-o-spital.
