Happy Mrs. Pastor Day

Last year, I came up with the idea of "Mrs. Pastor's Day"* - someone has to start the day. :)

In thinking about how often our lives are described as "Living in a Fishbowl," I decided to look for a picture or 2 - and this one spoke volumes to me...

  1. Each family (and their fishbowl) is unique - please never assume that our lives, trials and triumphs are the same. Don't put yourself or allow anyone put you into a mold - remember, God made you unique for a reason.
  2. It can be lonely in the fishbowl - so it helps to have company. You may not have or be able to make friends within your church - the important thing is: besides your husband who should be your best friend, make friends with other Christian ladies - possibly who are also Mrs. Pastors - being a true Christian is more important though.
  3. Make sure the water in your fishbowl is never stale - otherwise it will lead to many deaths. The Water of Life (Word of God) must flow freely and fully in your home and life.

Besides, these 3 points, I found some interesting facts** about goldfish - I'll focus on 3 (my comments are in gold font). They love to:
  • eat tasty & healthy food (varied diet) Do same spiritually, emotionally, & physically
  • take a nap once in a while (when they get tired) Learn to rest so you're refreshed.
  • eat from owners hand (when they get used to you) Eat only from the Lord's hand.

Finally, while living in a fishbowl, we have 2 choices:
to simply survive or truly thrive
- I know what my choice is.

Your life is to be enjoyed not endured...so beautify your fishbowl and remain a beauty to behold. Happy Mrs. Pastor's Day...
