Ways to show your church you love them* (4)

You'd think that after 3 weeks, we have enough tips on how to show our church that we love them. In some ways and with some of the tips in this and previous posts**, it almost feels like we should have a t-shirt that says just that - obviously someone has already come up with that idea :)

Let's move on...

24. Know your weakness and try to strengthen them. For example, read a book on counseling (like Women Helping Women by Fitzpatrick and Cornish) or hospitality. 
Mrs. Pastor: I agree - however, it is critical that we don't lose sight of our strengths - all of them.
Keep getting better at what you already do well too. Knowing your weaknesses doesn't mean that you need to advertise them however, to succeed, surround yourself with people who are "strong" where you are "weak." Surround yourself not just with complimentary people but with complementary people too...we  all need both types of people.
25. Make your husband a better preacher by giving constructive suggestions at the appropriate time. Mrs. Pastor: When he preaches ensure that you encourage him too.
26. Keep yourself healthy. Mrs. Pastor: Your health is key to your continued ministry.
27. Forgive and forget. Mrs. Pastor:  Remember, forgiveness is a gift you give to yourself.
28. Keep frozen cookie dough in the freezer to bake when some one stops by the house.
Mrs. Pastor: The point is be ever-ready to to serve a meal or snack - not necessarily cookies.
29. Take care of your appearance. Mrs. Pastor: I've talked about this several times** - remember the way you dress is the way you'll be addressed.
30. Serve more than you expect to be served. Mrs. Pastor: According to Dr Myles Munroe,  "any leader who wants to be served, is a parasite." We must serve like Jesus did.
