Wear matching shoes...

...at all times.
Did I just see a smile come on your face?
Before you run to your closet and start listing the colours of shoes you do not already have, I suggest you hear (or more like "read") me out.

The reason why we need to wear matching shoes at all times arose when I saw this very interesting version of a verse that has been quoted over and over again. I went on to seek out various Bible versions so you can see what I mean for yourself.

According to the King James Version, Psalm 68:11 says:
"The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it."

The other versions I saw clarified it - (italics mine):
The Lord gave the command,
and a great army [or company of women] told the news:*

The Lord gives the Word. And the women who tell the good news are many.**

The Lord gives the word [of power];
the women who bear and publish [the news] are a great host.***

The Lord speaks; many, many women spread the good news.****

When you realize that God expects women (including Mrs. Pastors) to spread His word, we all need to have the matching shoes to obey this "marching" order.

Ephesians 6:15 tells us:
On your feet wear the Good News [Gospel] of peace to help you stand strong [for firm footing; or to be fully prepared]. *

Wear shoes on your feet which are the Good News of peace.**

It's not enough to have the matching shoes, we need to have them on at all times because 2 Timothy 4:2 says:
Preach the Good News [Gospel].
Be ready at all times [whether it is convenient or inconvenient; in season or out of season], and tell people what they need to do [correct; reprove].
Tell them when they are wrong [Rebuke]. Encourage [Comfort; Exhort] them with great patience and careful teaching [all patience and teaching],*

Preach the Word of God.
Preach it when it is easy and people want to listen and when it is hard and people do not want to listen. Preach it all the time.
Use the Word of God to show people they are wrong. Use the Word of God to help them do right. You must be willing to wait for people to understand what you teach as you teach them.**

Now you can assess your "wardrobe" to confirm that you have the matching shoes. The best thing about these shoes is that they are accessible and affordable by all of us. There's no need to go shopping - just continue studying & speaking the Word.
